Sharon Kelly is an established and well respected Ottawa artist.  She studied art history at Queen’s University and has been painting for many years.  In Ottawa, she is represented by The Ottawa Art Gallery as well as Wall Space Gallery.

Evident in her work is Kelly’s strong sense of light, composition and restrained palette.  Her painting is about process, evolving slowly over time, moving from a vibrant palette towards a softer, less invasive statement.  The result is rich and evocative.

Scientific studies have taught us that water attracts and influences humans in many ways.  Being near, in, on, or even under water can make us feel happier and healthier.  Ocean Rituals takes you to the sea.
